Department of Oncology, University of Torino,
After a Post-doc at the Department of Theoretical Physics, I moved ... Next stop is the IRCC , where I'm currently Research Associate.
I'm Adjunct Lecturer of Bioinformatics at the University of Turin (see here for a short CV).
I'm member of the Center for Complex Systems in Molecular Biology and Medicine of the University of Turin.
I obtained my Ph.D degree in the Ph.D Programme in complexity in post-genomic biology .
My work is mainly related to Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. I'm interested in connecting Computer Science and Physics to Biology.
In particular, my current research interests are:
Cancer and Plants genomics;
Gene regulation, microRNAs, lncRNAs, regulatory networks;
Software development for Next Generation Sequencing applications (RNA-seq);
Statistical and computational properties of genomes;
A step back in my old physics ... the CERN home page. First Beam of LHC was on 10 September 2008.... and now ... a Biology fan ... http://abstrusegoose.com/156
