Which neutrino phenomenology?

Abstract
The current status of interpretations of neutrino data is reviewed after the observation of neutrinoless double beta decay which implies the Majorana nature of the neutrino. If a general neutrino mass term of Majorana-Dirac type is considered, a mixing between active and sterile neutrinos emerges a natural consequence. It is shown, in this context, how the interpretation of the LSND result in terms of oscillations between 4 neutrinos (3 active + 1 sterile) fits as a viable solution. If this is the case, oscillations of this type are expected at the same mass scale, even with larger amplitudes, in disappearance experiments. Arguments to favor or against this hypothesis are carried in the light of actual data and looking at future projects.
