Astrophysical solution to UHECR problem

Abstract
The propagation of UHECR in extragalactic space (including effects of magnetic fields) is discussed. It is demonstrated that the signature of interaction of UHE protons with CMB, in the form of the dip in the spectrum, is confirmed by observations. The dip is produced by electron-positron creation in the collisions of UHE extragalactic protons with microwave (CMB) photons. The AGN model of UHECR origin is discussed. The transition from galactic to extragalactic cosmic rays is descibed by this model. The cosmic rays in the energy range 10^{17} - 10^{18} \mathrm{eV} is a mixture of galactic iron nuclei and extragalactic protons.
