Neutrino quantum states and spin light in matter

Abstract
In the introduction part of the talk a review on the matter effects in neutrino oscillations are given. Then the developed method for accounting for neutrino interaction with the background matter, which is based on the exact solutions of the modified Dirac equation for a massive neutrino moving in different media, is presented. Within this method the neutrino wave functions and energy spectrum in matter are determine and the rate and power of the neutrino spin light in matter are calculated. On this basis the quantum theory of the neutrino spin light in matter is developed: the rate and power of the process and also the emitted photon energy are obtained for different values of the neutrino momentum, matter composition and density. The obtained properties of the emitted photons (i.e., the average energy, spatial distribution and nearly total polarization) can be important for the experimental identification of the spin light of neutrino from different astrophysical and cosmology objects and media.
