\nu_e Disappearance in MiniBooNE

Abstract
We suggest the possibility that the anomalies observed in the Gallium radioactive source experiments and recently in the MINIBOONE first results may be due to electron neutrino active-sterile oscillations. We show that our interpretation of the data is also compatible with an old indication in favor of \nu_{e} disappearance found from the analysis of of beam-dump experiments, leading to the following value for the survival probability : P_{\nu_{e} ->
\nu_{e}} = 0.80 {}^{+0.03}_{-0.04} . These results rise at the same time two difficult questions : 1) Which is the value of the mass of the fouth neutrino state, given the actual constraints from cosmology ? 2) Which is the value of the mixing angle between active and sterile states, given the constraint from reactor antineutrino experiments ?
