We suggest the possibility that the anomalies observed in the Gallium radioactive source experiments and recently in the MINIBOONE first results may be due to electron neutrino active-sterile oscillations.
We show that our interpretation of the data is also compatible with an old indication in favor of
disappearance found from the analysis of of beam-dump experiments,
leading to the following value for the survival probability :
.
These results rise at the same time two difficult questions : 1) Which is the value of the mass of the fouth neutrino state,
given the actual constraints from cosmology ? 2) Which is the value of the mixing angle between active and sterile states,
given the constraint from reactor antineutrino experiments ?
