About Lorenzo Magnea

I am a theoretical physicist, currently working in Torino, Italy, where I am an Associate Professor at the local Department of Theoretical Physics.

Research

• My main research interest is in particle physics, and in particular in QCD especially in the perturbative regime.
  
  
  • As you may know, this is the physics of LHC ... one of the greatest scientific experiments of all time! LHC will not produce dangerous black holes, but great results instead ... For musical explanation, listen to the Large Hadron Rap by alpinekat. Teaching

• Since the 2007/2008 Academic year, I teach Phenomenology of Fundamental Interactions (basics of the Standard Model), for the Master's Degree in Physics of Fundamental Interactions, together with Fiorenza Donato (web page under construction ...).

• Since the 2006/2007 Academic year, I teach Introduction to Group Theory for the Master's degree in Physics of Fundamental Interactions.
  • Amazingly, group theory can also inspire sentimental songs ... enjoy the video of the Klein Four ``group'', singing Finite simple group of order 2.

• In the past I taught Introductory Quantum Mechanics at the Math Department and for S.I.S., our Advanced School for Teachers.
