TEST OF NEW INSTRUMENTS New dosimetric instruments are tested in Torino and/or at the Testa Grigia station before measurements in the SAA region. In Torino (230 m a.s.l.) the neutron flux due to cosmic ray is about 10 times lower than at the Testa Grigia Station.

NECH rem counter test We are currently testing the NECH rem counter, produced by DIGITECH-group, sensitive to neutrons of energy up to 5 GeV. The NECH provides the dose in terms of Ambient dose equivalent H*(10), measured in Sievert (Sv).
