Electronics Laboratory

This is a main service of Torino section of I.N.F.N. (Istituto Nazionale Fisica Nucleare) committed to satisfy the tecnological needs of the different physics research groups.

Our activity is divided into the Microelectronics design, mainly involved with ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit), and Electronics Design that collects all other activities from FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) to traditional tecnology circuits.

We are equipped with several IC testing facilities like probe stations for micropositioning and wire bonding machines for connections.

As general purpose instrumentation, our service has some equipment facility to generate and acquire digital data with logic state analyzer, and to make noise measurements with a spectrum analyzer.

To implement a whole design flow, we use integrated software tools to perform analog or digital simulation, and to manage physical layout of integrated circuits or printed circuits boards.

Actually our staff is composed of 14 permanent position, that attend to several tecnology fields.
