Prof. Pietro Fré: Curriculum Vitae
Vita
Nacqui il 18 Aprile del 1952 ad Alessandria (Italia).
Frequentai le scuole primarie e secondarie nella stessa città. Conseguii la
maturità classica nel 1970. Mi iscrissi come studente all'Università di
Torino nel 1970 e conseguii la laurea in Fisica nel 1974. Mi sposai con
Tiziana Spandonari il 29 maggio del 1976 e la mia prima ed unica figlia
Laura nacque il 18 maggio del 1988. Sono separato dalla mia prima moglie dal
2002 e divorziato da lei dal Maggio 2006.
Pietro
Frè è professore ordinario di fisica teorica dell’Università di Torino.
La sua carriera scientifica è stata dedicata alla teoria della supergravità,
delle superstringhe, alla cosmologia ed alla relatività: essa si è
ampiamente svolta all’estero. Il prof. Frè ha lavorato in Germania, in
America presso il California Institute of Technology
(CALTECH) e la State University di New York a Stony Brook
(SB-SUNY) ed al CERN di Ginevra. Ha avuto ed ha
collaborazioni con Università Europee in Belgio, Francia, Germania e
Danimarca. Per circa sei anni egli è stato professore della Scuola Superiore
di Studi Avanzati di Trieste (SISSA) dove ha anche ricoperto la carica di direttore
del settore di fisica delle particelle. Dal 1996 al 2000 è stato Presidente
della Società Italiana di Relatività. Coordinatore italiano
di networks di Ricerca Europei dal 1992 al 2008. Due volte coordinatore del
Progetto di Ricerca
di Interesse Nazionale (PRIN) in Teoria
delle Stringhe. Collaboratore abituale dell’Istituto
di Ricerche Nucleari di Dubna in Russia e dell’Istituto Bogolubov di Kiev in
Ucraina, Pietro Frè conosce la lingua russa ed ha molti amici nella ex
Unione Sovietica.
Autore di quasi duecento tra articoli, rapporti e libri scientifici in
lingua inglese, Pietro Frè ha sempre coltivato uno spiccato interesse per la
letteratura ed una passione per la narrativa
Vita
I was born April 18th 1952 in Alessandria (Italy). I attended primary,
secondary and
high school in Alessandria where I graduated in 1970 from Liceo Classico. I
enrolled as student at the University of Torino in 1970 and I obtained my
Laurea degree in Physics in 1974. I married with Tiziana Spandonari May 29th
1976 and my first and only daughter Laura was born May 18th 1988.
I am separated from my wife since Nov. 2002 and divorced
from her since Dec. 2006
Academic Career
- I am Full Professor of General Relativity in Torino since 1995.
- From 1990 to 1995 I was Full Professor of Theoretical Physics at
SISSA,
TRIESTE and there
Head of the Particle Theory Group.
- From 1987 to 1990 I was Associate Professor of Mathematical Methods of
Physics at TORINO
UNIVERSITY,
- From 1980 to 1987 I was Research Fellow in Theoretical Physics at
TORINO
UNIVERSITY,
- From 1983 to 1985, in leave of absence from Torino, I was Research
Fellow at CERN.
- In 1979-1980 I was NATO fellow at CALTECH and STONY BROOK
(U.S.A.)
- In 1977-1978 I was PostDoc at CALTECH
- From 1975 to 1977 I was PostDoc at the University of BIELEFELD in
Germany
- In 1975 I was Research Fellow at the University of TORINO
