Anyone using LabVIEW with NI
digital hardware will probably have had the experience of needing
more flexibility or performance than is available, whether it be
using high-end programmable hardware or low-end digital DAQ. LabPHY aims to allow anyone with a
reasonable level of
LabVIEW programming experience to take an FPGA
evaluation board suitable for their requirements and learn to program it in VHDL with the minimum of
effort.
Two options are provided:
GbPhy is for boards with Gigabit PHY hardware, and
in addition includes the option of high bandwidth data transmission
of data packets from the FPGA to the PC host
Phy100 is for boards limited to 100Mbps PHY
hardware, commonly used on the more economical boards
